The Virtual RobotX competition is back

The Virtual RobotX (VRX) competition is back! The Naval Postgraduate School, the Office of Naval Research, Open Robotics and Robonation have joined forces to organize a simulated maritime competition in 2022.

The main goal of the VRX competition is to provide a simulation framework to support maritime autonomy development. Consult our 2022 introduction document for extra details about goals, dates and eligibility. Here's a peek at how VRX looks like in Gazebo:

VRX is open to any student team affiliated with an educational institution. You can visit the 2022 VRX competition website to download the tasks descriptions document and the technical guide.

If you’d like to get your feet wet you can visit the VRX GitHub page, install the software, follow the tutorials to learn more about the simulation environment, and have fun!

We’ll open registrations soon, so stay tuned!
